[he comes back armed with the PB&J, some chocolate and that nice, cold coke. he's grinning out the door at a sweet nurse, calling a charming thanks, sweetheart before he's in, closing the door with his heel. inside, the grin softens as he rounds back on them, dumping the snacks on the chair.

he sighs, running a hand through the curls, dragging the spare chair back over to slump into it. ]

So, [he says, voice quiet. ] Harrington.

[heatmetal]

... yeah. [ he looks down at the unconscious man, perhaps a touch guiltily. Then back to Billy, eyebrows slightly raised. It's not an accusation. Just an acknowledgement. ] Harrington.


[ billy is more his type than Steve. He likes them mean and bratty, likes them dangerous. ]

I didn't know he was interested in men until today. Doesn't change a thing, unless you want it to.

[camarod]

Yeah. Harrington.

[he could laugh. it's been a year, though. been a year on his own, eating monsters and trying to piece the parts of Billy Hargrove back together the right away. then there'd been Eddie, bright like sunlight, and now there's Steve Harrington again, who he's always been a little jealous of. always wanted, just a little.

it's going to get complicated, he knows. maybe fast. ] The blood's easy. This is - this is weirder. Right? The whole time I was pulling his pigtails and he only had eyes for Wheeler. I walk in and he's - he's into you, E. Like you were the only thing in the world.

He's still got eyes for Wheeler. [ six little nuggets. He remembers that speech, remembers making gagging motions and Dustin alternating between laughing and elbowing him to shut up. ]

He was a prick to me all through highschool. Or if he wasn't, one of his buddies was and he'd laugh about it. But Henderson convinced him I was innocent and we kinda bonded while sorting out the whole Vecna thing.

[he gets it, Eddie, that's your type. ] I was a prick to him, too. [much worse than he was to Eddie, in the end. ] What do you wanna do about him.

[ Steve snores softly. ♥ ]

For like a year. And that was only because you found me sooo hot.

[ he flutters his eyelashes, clearly teasing.

But he looks back to Steve, quiet for a moment. ]

I like him. And I like you.. and you like him. [ he glances to billy. ] He's scared shitless of you right now, but he doesn't know you yet, baby. I just met the real you.

I'm not doing anything without you... We're in this together. Maybe forever, if vampire lore is true.

You did have that shit eating grin I wanted to kiss off you, so yeah.

[this is - new. maybe too new. too forward, too modern, too opposite of everything Billy's ever been raised to be. but he's new, too, he's more. Eddie says forever and Billy feels his chest go hot and tight, feels his eyes get that stingy, glassy way they do sometimes when things are too big for him.

he swallows. ] Forever's a long time, E. [but it's comforting. it feels right. he looks at Steve, snoring softly, hair mussed and slightly drunk on the blood loss and he longs terribly for something that could be his. theirs. he reaches out, strokes a knuckle across Steve's cheek.] You think I can seduce Steve Harrington to the dark side?

[heatmetal]

[ his heart swells at that soft, tender touch. all the gentleness he knows billy to be capable of embodied in it. ]

Yeah, B. But I think you're gonna meet in the middle... he's gonna be pulling you to the light, too.

[the knuckle moves, fingers stroking through Steve's hair. ] What if he just wants you, E?

Mmm... I'll have to break his little heart then. [ he's hopelessly fond, tilting his head to look at billy with warm, soft eyes. ] We're kind of a packaged deal. I'm not leaving you for anything.

[camarod]

Yeah? [the devious glint is back in his eyes. ] I mean, I could rebound just fine with Karen Wheeler.

[he's grinning, leaning forward. ] C'mere and kiss me, idiot. Before he wakes up and screams cooties.

[heatmetal]

[ leaning over to capture those lips, grinning deviously. ]

[there’s a look to Eddie, a what did he hear as he sits back, reluctantly taking both hands with him to sort through the snack pile.

Yeah, well. It's rude to make out over a dude while he's too unconscious to watch.

[ He holds a hand out for some of those snacks where he scoots up against the pillows, flatly eyeing them. ]

Does that broadly answer all your dumb questions?

[ ... oddly, no. eddie looks to billy. back to steve. ]

Do... you want to watch?

[super cool, super casual, just shoving that chocolate to Steve's chest -]

[ Oh.

A slow smile slides into place as he looks between them with a glance like their awkwardness is a tennis match. Where have the Cool Guys(TM) from five minutes ago gone?

Steve taps his chocolate bar against his chest. ]

I want to stop passing out all the time after each of you numbskulls has a sip of Chateau Harrington, so after I eat these snacks you're going to be feeding together from now on. One on each side.

[ He unwraps and munches his chocolate bar. ]

Maybe then you'll both feel better about passing the sippycup around.

not a no. not a rejection. more like a weird proposal for a vampire threesome. ]
